http://www.watchthetitles.com/ is an alternative to artofthetitle.com and is a good way of exploring inventive and engaging film titles and analyses
http://www.wix.com/ can be used as a fee website tool for showcasing your work, perhaps you can use this for your pitch or promo for your completed film?

Week 4 - The pitch and audience research
The Film Pitch
Hopefully you've all been working hard on your coursework planning over half term ;)
This week is about finalising your film and talking through the concept and appeal to audiences. This week will also involve you carrying out a range of other important research, including:

There is also a student version called www.sbbfc.co.uk which has case studies and resources for you.
To be completed by Wednesday (the pitch that is)
Next week we will be examining planning and research material and talking about assessment and evaluating a range of work. You will all be given provisional grades by next Monday with targets to aim for both individually and as a group.

- Audience questionnaires (online surveys, focus groups and THE PITCH)
- Age rating - also linked to audiences (and regulation - you will need to look at the BBFC guidelines to think about age ratings content of your film)

Week 3
I've been enjoying everyone's interpretation of voki, et al. Monday we need to start thinking about branding and ideology as a group. You all seem to know what you want to do, but now we need to give yourself an identity.
Your task is to design a film institution logo that represents not only a bit of you, but the values and expectations you want audiences to associate with your film. This is an important part of the planning process and will give you clarity and set the tone of your film within the first 30 seconds.
Before we break for half term, I'm very keen for people to do some more textual analysis - using the 9 screenshots (done using power DVD or CTRL + printscreen from web) and using voicethread. Using voicethread is a great way to practise analysising films so that when you come to evaluate your final product in December, you will have shown progress and a development in confidence (and learning).
