This week we will be looking at student exemplars of planning and research with the view to understanding how the mark scheme works and applying it to real pieces of coursework.
The outcome showed me two things - that you understand the demands of the brief and that you know what you have to do to be marked as proficient or excellent.
I will be marking all your research and planning on Wednesday - any other research or planning you add to your blog after this date will not be considered as I'm trying to give accurate progress grades for your coursework.
In Wednesday's session we will be looking at the functions of the camera and also introducing you to the Macs, which have finally been fixed after an eight week meltdown. I will bring along some of the prelim work for you to experiment using Final Cut.
Continue to use your time effectively and show me that you are ready to film next week.
What we did in lesson:
- Shooting checklist - make sure you address the following on your call sheet:
- tripod camera
- props
- costume
- make up
- storyboard, shotlists and script
- actors - including contact numbers
- location map/emergency numbers
- portable lights/torches/batteries and gaffa tape
- crew
- production notes - phones and digital camera to record the process
- charger
- tape/cassete or memory card
- money for transport and refreshments
- time schedule (weather report, sunrise and sunset)
- caravan or base - a place to keep warm and keep dry/safe
- protective equipment - camera bags, coats, brollies, hats, etc.
- first aid kit for all those amputations
- your brain - you will be using it a lot
